Kompan Czech Republic s.r.o.

In the past, at other companies, I've had recurring issues with instructors, availability, or the quality of instruction. That's never happened to me here.

Project Description from TLC's Perspective

Language Education as Part of Corporate Culture

Tomáš Kacetl, HR Director, views language training at Kompan not merely as a benefit, but as part of everyday life and the company’s approach to its people. Supporting employee development is seen as a core value here, which is one reason why language courses are fully covered by the company, with no out-of-pocket costs for employees.

From our experience, we know that embedding training so firmly in a company’s culture isn’t all that common—which is why we’re all the more pleased that it really works at Kompan.

The courses bring together Czech and international colleagues

At our company, we provide English, German, and Czech language instruction for employees from various countries. We designed the new Czech language course to be open to all international colleagues, regardless of nationality.

It has been a great success—not only among the participants but also among their supervisors, because it has significantly improved day-to-day communication. For example, one of our Ukrainian colleagues in administration started out using only English. Today, he is able to handle half of his work in Czech.

We regularly review the results together

The company carefully monitors not only attendance but also the development of language skills. Over the years, a relationship of trust has developed between us, and if a course is no longer beneficial for a particular employee, they aren’t afraid to address the issue openly. And that’s exactly the approach that makes sense to us, too. When we do something, we want it to work.

We tailor our classes to the shift schedule

We know full well that tailoring training to operational and production needs is essential. And that is precisely where our strength lies.

Thanks to our flexible organizational structure, we’re able to set up schedules that work for both our employees and our operations, even if that sometimes means more complex logistics. Language training must fit into the company’s operations—not complicate them.

How does the client rate the collaboration?

As far as how the classes are run is concerned, I have absolutely no complaints. Everything works very well, including the instructors' work. We've received very positive feedback about them.

We were able to handle even difficult situations. For example, when two instructors dropped out overnight, TLC immediately arranged for replacements, and classes were able to continue without interruption.
